This test measures several diabetes status markers: Glucose, HbA1c, Insulin and C-peptide. Haemoglobin A1c or HbA1c is a marker of how well your body has been handling blood sugar over the last three months and is a great test to understand your metabolic health. HbA1c is haemoglobin which has bound with the sugar in your blood. The higher your blood sugar over the last 3 months, the higher this protein will be in your blood. A high HbA1c level can indicate pre-diabetes or diabetes. The lower your HbA1c, the better.

This test involves a simple blood draw at our clinic. Results typically come back quickly but we advise that they can take up to 5 business days.

Please note we require you to fast for 8 hours prior to this test to ensure accurate measurement of blood biomarkers.
