Thyroid Hormone Profile Blood Test

If you are considering having more than one blood test, our comprehensive Fertility Panel or Fertility Panel + AMH (for men and women) may be more cost effective.
The Thyroid Hormone Profile (All) Blood Test provides a comprehensive assessment of your thyroid health by measuring critical hormones and antibodies involved in thyroid function. This profile is essential for diagnosing various thyroid disorders and understanding your overall endocrine health.
What the Thyroid Hormone Profile Tests:
Anti-TPO (Anti-Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody): This test detects antibodies that may indicate autoimmune thyroid disease, such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
Anti-Thyroglobulin Antibody: Anti-Thyroglobulin Antibodies (TgAb) are immune proteins that target thyroglobulin, a protein produced by the thyroid gland. Elevated levels are associated with autoimmune thyroid disorders, such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Graves' disease. Monitoring TgAb helps in diagnosing thyroid dysfunction, assessing autoimmune activity, and tracking thyroid cancer treatment or recurrence.
FT3 (Free Triiodothyronine): Measures the active form of triiodothyronine, which regulates metabolism and energy levels.
FT4 (Free Thyroxine): Assesses the level of thyroxine in the blood, essential for metabolic processes.
TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone): Evaluates the pituitary gland's stimulation of the thyroid, providing insight into thyroid function.
Testing Procedure: The Thyroid Hormone Profile is performed through a blood draw at our clinic.
Regular thyroid function testing can be useful for anyone experiencing symptoms related to thyroid imbalances, such as fatigue, weight changes, or mood swings.
Typically, results come back quickly but we advise that they can take up to 5 business days.
