Full Blood Count Blood Test

The Full Blood Count (FBC) blood test provides a detailed look at your overall blood health, assessing the balance and levels of essential blood components. This test measures red blood cells (RBC), haemoglobin (Hb), haematocrit (Hct), and indicators like Mean Cell Volume (MCV), Mean Cell Haemoglobin (MCH), and Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin Concentration (MCHC) to check oxygen transport and detect anaemia.

The test also analyses white blood cells (WBC), including neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils, for signs of infection or immune health. Platelet count and Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) are included to assess clotting function. Regular FBC testing can provide insights into your general health, detect inflammation, infections, and support the monitoring of certain medical conditions.
