Follicle Tracking

Follicle tracking is a method used to predict the time of ovulation through a series of both abdominal and internal (transvaginal) scans. The intention is to assess both the size and number of follicles and the thickness of the endometrium (the lining of the uterus).

This service is very useful for those receiving fertility treatment abroad - usually the clinics will request follicle tracking scans to be done prior to travel. We will provide electronic reports for you to give to your fertility centre.

The first scan will begin on day 9 of your menstrual cycle. Up to three scans may be required, depending on results of each scan. Some fertility centres may only require one scan, while others may require more. In light of this, we offer two options, as below.

Full Cycle (£240)

With our full cycle option, we will perform as many scans as are required by your fertility centre within one menstrual cycle. As mentioned previously, we typically expect this to include around 3 scans.
